Andi MacKay has argued numerous appeals and appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada on both criminal and civil matters including R v. Basi, 2009 SCC 52, one of the leading cases on the scope of informer privilege.

She is frequently asked to represent criminal lawyers in ineffective assistance of counsel cases, where she has earned the respect of her peers and the court.

Tam Boyar is a former law clerk to Justice Fish at the Supreme Court of Canada and has a particular interest in criminal appeals.

In R v. Zadeh, 2016 BCCA 474, for example, he successfully appealed a conviction for sexual assault by demonstrating that the verdict reached by the trial judge was incompatible with the expert evidence tendered at trial.
