Administrative Law

Administrative law is an area of increasing importance for businesses and individuals. Although the administrative process is less formal than the courts, it is essential for individuals involved in that process to obtain sound legal advice at the outset.

Our lawyers have represented clients before a wide range of administrative tribunals and have the knowledge and experience to help our clients navigate these difficult proceedings.

We have particular experience acting for police officers who are facing allegations of misconduct under the Police Act and the RCMP Act. We also have experience acting for clients in judicial review applications.

Tam Boyar was counsel in Alberta (Information and Privacy Commissioner) v. Alberta Teachers’ Association, 2011 SCC 61, one of the leading cases on standard of review and we have brought countless judicial review applications on behalf of our clients
